What is new
in Cirrus G6 2019?
The Cirrus Revolution
Cirrus Aircraft started with a determination to change the world of Aviation through innovation. Through the years, we have continuously refined and enhanced the SR series with improvements to performance, comfort, convenience and safety. It ́s why the SR Series has continuously led the industry as the best-selling piston Aircraft in its class for sixteen years in a row. Introducing the culmination of these collective advances: the 2019 Cirrus Aircraft G6.
Multi-Pane MFD Functionality
Splits the MFD display to show both an approach chart and a moving map and/or static flight plan. The Cirrus Aircraft G6 is the first and only aircraft to offer this multi-pane functionality on a G1000 NXI-based flight deck.
Dynamic Glide Range
Displayed on the MFD, a dynamically calculated range ring takes into account real-time wind and terrain considerations and lets you know how far your aircraft can glide to 1000ft AGL.
Control Cirrus Global Connect via Garmin Pilot
Now you can initiate satellite phone calls and send/receive text (SMS) messages within Garmin Pilot when your mobile device is connected to a Cirrus Perspective+ aircraft equipped with Cirrus Global Connect.
Enhanced Frequency Management
Allows you to choose a frequency from the waypoint page and place it in any of the 4 available COM slots with a single button push.
Target Fuel Flow Indicator
Provides a cyan best economy fuel flow target for the SR20 and SR22T, as well as a target fuel flow for both best power and best economy the SR22, streamlining the leaning procedure and reducing pilot workload.
Engages the autopilot LVL function if the aircraft maneuvers outside of the ESP envelope for more than 20 seconds in any 40 second period. The system will give both a visual and aural alert to announce that autopilot has been engaged in LVL mode.
Alerts pilots to Hazardous Obstacle Transmission (HOT) lines in the United States, which typically include those that span rivers, canyons, valleys or are within the vicinity of airports. The wires are displayed on both the PFD and MFD, and are part of the obstacle database.
GPS Altitude AGL
Displayed on the upper part of the MFD, always know your altitude above the ground, based on your current GPS altitude.
Enhanced Pilot Alerts
Additional alerts have been added to increase situational awareness:
- On departure, at 600 ft AGL, an audible “six hundred” callout lets you know when you have reached minimum CAPS altitude.
- New alerts have been added to let you know when your flaps are not in the correct position for takeoff and climb.
- If the autopilot is in ROL mode for more than 30 seconds, an annunciation appears on the PFD, alerting the pilot to select a lateral navigation mode.
- Additionally, a notification has been added to alert the pilot if the aircraft is in HDG mode for more than 10 minutes without a heading change.
Upgraded USB Power Ports
Keep the aircraft on the leading edge of consumer electronics by powering the very latest devices and keeping them charged in flight. In addition to upgrading on of the rear ports to USB-C format. The power output for all USB power ports has been upgraded from 2.1 amps to 3.0 amps.
Tanis Avionics and Engine Pre-Heater
Allows you to not only pre-heat the engine block and engine oil, but an additional heater behind the instrument panel ensures that the avionics are warm as well. Designed to be plugged in until needed, this combo ensures your aircraft is ready for flight, even on a cold winter day.
